ALBERTA CANADIAN SHUFFLEBOARD ASSOCIATION HOSTS 13th ANNUAL SINGLES TOURNAMENT AT INNISFAIL ALBERTA, JUNE 2012.

A great time was had by all at our annual singles tournament with participants from across Western Canada.  There were 88 registered players competing for nearly $1000 in prize money.  Several participants camped on site, while others paid for  full service camping available near by or enjoyed the luxury of staying in one of the many motels in the town of Innisfail.  The banquet was held  Monday night on site at the curling rink.  A new caterer provided an excellent roast beef banquet with ample food available for second helpings.  We engaged this same caterer to provide the luncheon service during the tournament.  While we missed the excellent luncheons that had been prepared by our past club president Ruth Rutley and co workers Lois Cook and Faith Hodgson, we found that we did not miss the additional work. And the new caterer did a splendid job!.  We owe a big thank you to everyone that helped with preparing the daily coffee and muffins that were complimentary to all participants, and to all those that helped with the court maintenance.
